Abstract


Boldr is a platform that simplifies communication between employees and their managers by making it easier for employees to ask for help when needed. The tool aims to improve productivity, engagement, and overall job satisfaction by streamlining the check-in process between managers and employees.

Project Summary


Our team conducted extensive user research for six months to uncover the root causes of employee dissatisfaction with their work-life balance. Our findings revealed that poor communication with management could have hindered employees balance their work and personal lives.

We decided to focus our tool towards improving communication between employees and their managers and subsequently developed Boldr. We engaged in multiple rounds of user research to understand the needs and preferences of our target users. We leveraged these insights to create a platform that empowers employees to communicate effectively with their managers, promoting greater work-life balance and job satisfaction.

Feature Set (Roadmap)


  1. One-on-one check-ins: Boldr facilitates regular one-on-one check-ins between employees and their managers, providing a space for them to discuss progress, goals, and concerns.
  2. Shared agendas: Boldr allows employees to share their tasks with their managers before the check-in, making the process more productive and efficient.
  3. Automated reminders: Boldr sends automated reminders to both employees and managers, ensuring that check-ins happen on a regular basis and reducing the likelihood of missed meetings.
  4. Requesting help: Boldr allows employees to easily request help from their managers or colleagues, promoting a culture of support and collaboration within the workplace.
  5. Performance tracking: Boldr enables managers to track employee performance over time, providing insights into areas for improvement and opportunities for recognition and rewards.
